Happy Holidays!

I am heading home today for a much-needed rest with family and friends over the holidays! I will be around Maryland for a week before heading to IL/IN for a week, then back to MD for a few days before heading back to Mexico on January 8.

In the meantime there are gifts, coffees, parties and all kinds of fun vacation activities! (Of course, I'm bringing lots of homework with me and will work some from the VA office, but at least it's a change of pace).

Here's wishing you and yours the best in the comming year!

Time Travel

I lost my last post (pictures and all) to my shaky internet connection, but before I attempt to repost, I thought I'd add a new reflection.

I have officially been living in Mexico for over a year. In some ways I've done several years' worth (I feel a good 5 years older at least), but time is flying by. I'd love to do a better job of posting the play-by-play, but there's never really enough time. I'm looking forward to a few week's vacation, but am almost worried that the next few months will pass before I'm ready and that I won't get to see even half of what I'd like to see in Mexico. I guess it's always a good excuse to come back and visit!

Second down

I just had my interview for Smith (UMD). I think it went pretty well since it was short and the interviewer spent more time trying to sell me on the school than asking me questions. They say I should hear within the next 3-4 weeks. Hopefully the time between now and when I hear will pass quickly. Then I just need to figure out where I want to go and what I want to do.

Waiting

I just turned in my fifth and last business school application -- this one for UNC Kenan-Flagler. I should hear from all schools by Feb 5. In the meantime, I still have two interviews to go over the next month. Now I just sit back and wait....

Sigh

It's been a busy few weeks of work and I'm exhausted. Our big launch event came and went, as did a visit from a collague in Argentina. Luckily we did get to see some sights along the way. Here are some pics from the last few weeks:

Above: 1. Carolin in Garibaldi with some Mariachis, 2. View of volcanoes from the Cholula pyramid, 3. view of the cholula pyramid (with church on top) from the town center, 4. Sagrario and I in Coyoacan
